• I am a mother of 2 boys with a professional background in education, policy and law.
• My wife, brother and I moved to New Carrollton in 2014 because we fell in love with the tree lined streets and the prime location.
• I am an avid sports fan. I love NBA basketball and professional tennis.
• I am an active member of the Democratic Party serving on the Prince George’s Democratic Central Committee and as a member of Latino Democrats Prince George’s County.
• As Council Chair, I hope to usher in progressive policies to modernize New Carrollton.

Lincoln Lashley grew up in the City of New Carrollton. 
He holds a BS from UMD in Agribusiness and an MPA from Howard University. 
He values the ideals of effective and efficient government. 
As Vice-Chair, he looks forward to serving his neighbors by actively listening to
their concerns and working with his Council colleagues to implement long-term solutions. 
He is actively involved in his church where he serves on the Finance Council

Building welcoming and inclusive communities, where everyone matters,
is of utmost importance to David.  This is his priority on the Council and
professionally in education policy advocacy and research. As a Prince George’s
County Public Schools teacher, he sought to foster community by relocating
near his students and families—landing in New Carrollton. His students, many
of whom have gone on to become first-generation college graduates (like David),
have reinforced the potential of our community—and the work needed to reach
even more residents.
David is an avid runner and an Alpha Phi Omega member.
